ITALY TRAVEL IN 2025

Whether this is your first time to Italy or a return trip, 2025 is shaping up to be a busy year for Italy. Here's what we're making sure our clients know about their trip before choosing the home of pasta.

The Jubilee

Every 25 years there is a celebration by the Catholic Church, where the Holy Doors are opened and people can pass through them. This means that there are celebrations around the city starting Christmas 2024 through Christmas 2025. Vaticano knows all about this.

The Crowds

We know to expect crowds in Italy. One challenge during the summer with the crowds can be the cruise ships. So if you're traveling by "land", you may see that the days are busy and then in the evenings everything gets a little - quieter. It's best to know what to expect and pick the type of travel that is best for your family.

The Crowds

I will typically stear you away from August in Southern Italy. It gets impossibly hot. It's hard to find any relief, as A/C is not as common as it is stateside. If we need to travel in July and August - we'll make sure to chat about it. Whether that means we try to find a spot with a pool or head a bit more North.

What Should YOU Do?

I am booking clients actively for Italy trips in 2025. My biggest warning is that you need to PROACTIVELY PLAN. If you plan to visit Rome, you'll see additional crowds - and you will not find that "last minute deal". It's best for you to get everything locked in if you have that dream trip on your mind.

If you have a dream Italy trip to Rome and aren't a fan of crowds, maybe delay that for 2026. And in 2025 we can work on another place for this upcoming year. I bet I'll have some ideas you haven't thought of yet.
