The safari you’ve waited years for. The 50th with three other couples. Your mom’s first river cruise. Your kid’s graduation trip before they leave for good. These trips don’t get a do-over — so let’s do it right.

You’ve done the research. That’s what’s making you nervous.

You’ve read the blogs, compared the hotels, watched the reels. And the more you read, the more ways you see it could go sideways — wrong cruise line, wrong lodge, wrong neighborhood, wrong season, way too much packed into one day. Hey, I’m Kat!

I’ve booked the hotel in the wrong part of town and paid for a taxi every single day. I’ve missed a train because I was finishing my coffee. I’ve gotten up from a table and walked out because I refused to eat what they put in front of me.

I’ve been doing this since I was 16 — a Eurail pass, my dad’s Rick Steves guidebook, and paper maps. I studied abroad in Rome, and I’ve been to 38 countries since. I made the mistakes so you don’t have to. That’s what “We’ve been there” means.

I plan trips I’d actually take, work with vetted partners on the ground, and don’t disappear after you book.
