CHOOSING YOUR TRAVEL ADVISOR CONSIDERATIONS

Your partner has mentioned wanting to do something special for your next anniversary. You know that they won't plan it, and you don't have the bandwidth to do it either.

You go to your favorite site and ask your neighbors "Hey, anyone know a Travel Agent" and get 100s of replies. Now... how to choose the right one for you.

Visit Their Website

You can learn a lot about a brand from their website at first glance. You can see how the agent speaks, what type of business they focus on & how they work with you. Their communication style and the adventures they focus on.

If you're looking at a trip to Antarctica on an Expedition Cruise - you probably aren't going to find the agent who specializes and is Ear Marked as a Disney Agent as the perfect fit.

Where Have They Been

While your future advisor doesn't HAVE to have been to where you want to go, we want to make sure that they're educated in where you want to go. Some agents share a Travel Map showcasing everywhere they've been. While others focus on posts about destinations they know a lot about.

Their Affiliations / Trainings

You may see refrences to things like Travel Leaders Network & Virtuoso. These affiliations offer additional incentives with specific suppliers.

You also may see refrences to ASTA & The Travel Institute, offering additional training opportunities and certifications.

There are also brand recognized programs through suppliers like Virgin Voyages & Sandals Resorts International.

Depending on what level of service you're interested in or what travel experience you enjoy most - this may help you narrow down your search. And most of these companies can give recommendations.

Testimony / Recommendations

Whether you have heard from your friends & neighbors or are looking through a search - check for testimonials. Google Reviews & Facebook Reviews are a great starting point. See what clients have loved about the travel agent - and know if these are the attributes that you want in your advisor.

It's a Big Deal

When it comes to our precious PTO days and holiday adventures, it's worth taking the time to make sure you connect with your advisor. Travel can be a significant investment, and we only get so many chances to have these chances to make memories.

Take this decision seriously. Connect with the person. Make sure you trust them.

As always, feel free to reach out today if you're interested in planning a trip with me. : ) HERE
