LOVE THIS SPOT STATESIDE, TRY THIS IN EUROPE
If you're someone who has traveled the USA extensively and is a bit unsure about where to "start" in Europe - here's some cities that you may find similar vibes at.
Boston / Cape Cod --> Lisbon & Cascais
What we love stateside: The chance to pair learning history and walking the old streets in Boston to a trip to the coast. The coast has quaint towns & the chance to have some unique experiences off (or on) the coast.
What we love abroad: While in Lisbon we'll have those walks and trams to get around. The tile artwork. And quickly we can head out to Cascais or another local town.
Nashville / Gatlinburg --> Vienna & Salzburg
What we love stateside: Getting the chance to explore the great out doors while learning a bit of the local culture is amazing. We love having open spaces, parks & meeting friendly people
What we love abroad: Whether we're singing the Sound of Music through the city of Salzburg or taking the train through the hills of Austria - we'll get to learn something and have those wide open spaces.
Miami / Florida Keys --> Barcelona & Mallorca
What we love stateside: Beachfront, art deco & Latin Flair.
What we love abroad: We'll get to enjoy the walkable beachfront towns and some incredible architecture. All of these areas have amazing nightlife and the chance for families to enjoy their time there as well.
California / Napa Valley --> Tuscany
What we love stateside: Vineyards with wine tastings & the chance to relax under a beautiful sunset.
What we love abroad: We will still get the vineyards and rolling hills with wine tastings - we just pair it with the medieval villages and townhomes.
Yellowstone --> Iceland
What we love stateside: Geysers shooting into the sky, hot springs & untamed landscapes
What we love abroad: We'll run into geysers, waterfalls, volcanic landscapes and feel like you're living in Game of Thrones. We can also prioritize seeing some animals or the Northern Lights depending on the time of year.
New York City --> London
What we love stateside: The city that never sleeps with so many neighborhoods to explore. With any food you can dream of. The best of the best.
What we love abroad: We'll get the same energy - and add in some iconic landmarks. We can watch a West End Show and explore any of the neighborhoods around the city.
Rocky Mountains --> Interlaken & Lucerne
What we love stateside: High altitude feeling and mountain peaks to explore.
What we love abroad: You'll get the chance to head out on scenic trains and the most picturesque mountain villages.
