TRIPS TO TAKE BY KIDS' AGES & CONSIDERATIONS

We are planning a trip that involves kids? That complicates things - as kids typically do. So here I am going to break down by age what type of trip you should look at taking....

Disney with the family (I promise they loved it more than their faces say)

Ages 0-4

  • Disney & Universal : Discounted / Free admission

  • House Rentals : Great option especially if we have a shared space after the kiddos go to bed

  • Bodies of Water : Get near a pool / lake / ocean - this age loves water

  • Cruise : Check for one that has a nursery we can drop the little at, and everyone can have a nice adult only dinner.

Ages 5-10

  • Theme Parks : Typically not "Adult" pricing yet and getting taller to ride a lot of rides

  • City Exploring : Choose a walkable city that will keep your child's attention. I'd focus on what they're learning about in school

  • What You Love : Kids at this age are excited to share the world you love and know. Take a city or place you are comfortable with and show them all the things that made you fall in love with it.

Ages 11-14

  • All Inclusive : Your kid will want to find other kids their age to hang out with. Get some time away from eachother in a safe space

  • New City Exploring : Venture out and do a new activity together. You guys can try skiing in Switzerland, cooking in Italy or Standup Paddleboarding in Ibiza. Get your hands busy and learn something new together.

This is me at 16 & my brother at 14…. Times have changed.

Ages 15-18

  • New Country : Now is a great time to show them a new place and new culture with you there to guide them. They're close to being 'out on their own'.

  • Celebration Trip : Often I'll get a "Graduation Trip" where the child gets to choose everything about the vacation and it's a celebration for graduation. We discuss what they love, how they watn to spend their day and plan it together

  • Get them Involved : If you want a teen of this age to be excited for a trip, give them the chance to be apart of it. (trust me)

Well - if you have a trip with kids in mind; feel free to reach out. I'd love to chat with you about the experience your family wants and make it a reality. HERE is a great place to get started
