I recently stepped aboard Viking River Cruise to get a true feel for what they offer. I also got to hear Torstein Hagen all about his brand; its origin, ideal clients & their overall vision as a company. While websites can give you the specs, but nothing compares to walking the decks, meeting the crew, and experiencing the atmosphere firsthand.
Their team summed up their brand in three words: Consistent / Global / Inclusive
I’d add my own three words: The OG / American —because that’s exactly how it felt on board.
Every river cruise line has its own personality, and Viking gave me the feeling of every advertisement I’ve seen of theirs. THE GUY said “We’re the cruise for grown ups and their parents”, and I appreciate any brand that KNOWS who their client is and focuses on simply that.
So, is this the right fit for you?
✔️ Perfect for someone who loves to have consistency and knows what to expect no matter where in the world they are. You’ll also always find a burger on the menu there - great for picky eaters.
❌ Not ideal if you’re looking for the boutique warm feel that you find in those middle of the city accommodations. With the consistency and American market, you’ll find a lot of tastes of home, and I’m one who wants a taste of local.
